The Last Scrapbooking Day

Today is the last day that Josh and I can scrapbook just the two of us. We usually sit down together on a Tuesday morning whilst James is at school and Sam is in bed. The next few Tuesdays will be Summer hols so the big boy will be around, then after that the middle sized boy will be at school everyday :( hopefully James will play along during school holidays but it certainly won't be the chilled out hour that Joshy and I have together. I have a photo of him at his little scrapping table next to mine - I think I will use that for my next LO.

This morning I have just finished this LO of my neice Rowen. It has taken me 8 months to realise that if I start an album just for Ro Ro I can use WAY MORE PINK STASH!!! Watch out Sarahscards - a stash splurge is coming ;) I've had the Prima Marketing "say it in crystals" shape for ages and not found a use for it. I decided to chop it into smaller shapes to go around the bottom corner of the photo - much nicer than the huge shape it was :)
This one is my scrapping buddy himself being a crazy dude in the garden.

Stamping

I went off my stamps for ages and I'm trying to get back to using them more. These two LO's ease me back into using them just a tiny, weeny bit!
These photos are James at my cousin's firestation, but the LO is about the many things he wants to be when he grows up - including a fire fighter. (Just one tiny stamp in the corner, and I don't particularly like it!!) This is James and Sam in the "rain" on a sunny day. The rain coming from Daddy's hose pipe! The sunflower stamp was a late addition as I felt the space needed something else. I like this one and I'll carry on trying to stamp more on LO's as I have loads of cool stamps.

Thanks for looking :) Have a good Sunday :)

Samshine

Since there is a distinct lack of sunshine right now I thought I'd upload some Samshine instead.Remember when the sun did come out in April/May? Well Sam loved being in the garden. I think these pictures are actually on 2 different days but he loved that T-shirt at the time an wanted it on everyday. On the first picture he had sun cream in his hair and I brushed it into a side parting - love the "geek" look. Josh said he looked Irish - no idea why!! Answers on a postcard?

Sketch Challenge

It's sketch challenge time again at Sarahscards here.

I rotated the sketch this way:

and this is my Layout:
I used WRMK Write Out range. The blue is "Explore- Escape". The striped paper is "Explore - Roam" and the spotty circle is "Explore - 360". The alphas are all different American Craft Thickers. I've also used Baker's Twine and a couple of Jillybean Soup Journalling Sprouts in Square - Brown. The two flowers are cut from a coordinatig piece of WRMK Write Out.

I am so unbelieveably tired at the moment! So tired I fell asleep on the physio's table today - whoops! I literally have no photos to scrap now but I don't have the energy to do the big photo order that needs sending off. I'm taking the two big boys to the movies in the morning so maybe I'll catch 40 winks there eh? ;)

Scraplifting

When you run out of ideas and need some mojo it's great to have super talented friends! Lou is my super talented friend. A while ago she posted this layout:

Which boosted my mojo and I made this layout.

The grey cardstock is edged with staples and those silver stars have been in my stash for evvvvver!! The paper is DCWV Rock Star that I bought a HUGE stack of years ago and have not found a use for most of it! I hate it when I buy a "bargain" but then never use it - I never learn either!

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.

Mini crop

Once a month or so Helen, Vanessa, Sarah, Lianne and I head over to Lou's house for a mini crop. We take over the huge dining room table and banish Rob and the kids to elsewhere so we can make a mess, eat treats, gossip .... and do a little scrapping too. On Sunday there were just 4 of us so we had loooooaaaads of room to spread out on the table. I had planned 3 pages in advance so I managed to get 4 pages done.

This one is James being James - a goofball! The papers are actually Christmas ones - Fancy Pants "Hot Chocolate" - but I thought they were quite versatile that's why I bought them. I like papers with red in them and Lou and I are always blethering on about "real red". Lots of the embellishments are from Elle's Studio. I have loads of them thanks to Helen who FORCED me to order loads! The glasses stamps were perfect - they are WRMK that were a bargain in TK Maxx.
This one of Sam and I is using Pebbles Inc "Twitterpated" and a little bit of My Minds Eye "Bloom & Grow" and Elle's Studio bits and bobs again. Both layouts have American Crafts thickers for the titles - don't ask me how many packets of those I have! We were at Camelot Theme Park in this photo and The Husband very rarely takes photos of me with the kids so I had to scrap this one.

This one is WRMK again - another bargain from TK Maxx. I don't do hand cutting as a rule but I was sitting next to Sarah and I guess her "penchant" for it rubbed off a little! The circles are cut from a sheet that was overpowering as a whole sheet but the circles themselves were cool. The title is Thickers again - sorry if you are singing Jungle Book songs all day now!

This last one uses "Campy Trails" papers from American Crafts - and not a camping theme in sight! I borrowed the stamp from Lou - it's Jenni Bowlin from Sarahscards. Josh was being cool at Tatton Park and Sam wanted to take his photo. Thanks for looking. Let me know what you think.

Back soon hopefully!
